ASPECT RATION CHEAT SHEET

Calculating resolutions for particular aspect ratios, and vice-versa can be a pain in the ass. Other websites exist with similar cheat sheets, but I find they’re either wrong, incomplete, or take a very long time to load. Therefore, I’ve created my own version.

Ratios that don’t divide perfectly have been rounded down to their closest even integer.

If you spot any errors, want anything specific added, or have any other suggestions, please let me know!|

Super 35 1.4 0.7
APS-C 1.5 0.6
Micro Four-Thirds 2 0.5
1 Inch 2.7 0.4
Lens focal lengths are represented relative to full frame.
To find what crop factor your sensor will give on a certain focal length, find your sensor size in the left column, and multiply your focal length by the number in the middle column. The resulting number will be your crop factor.
Don't mind the third column, if you need it, you'll know how to use it.
Keep in mind these factors are aproximate. Exact factors will depend on exactly which sensor is being used.
